Borescope inspection for manufactured metal parts
MORITEX has released a technical report on borescope inspection , which it claims is critical reading for engineers and technicians involved with inspecting parts, components and products manufactured by
metal machining, welding, casting and electric discharge machining (EDM).
The report, entitled ˇ°Borescope inspection critical to vital manufacturing processesˇ±, compares the benefits of borescopic inspection to traditional destructive testing techniques and high-tech inspection processes using x-ray, machine vision, and eddy current technologies.
According to the company, modern borescopes are the first choice in inspecting mission-critical parts or components, as well as assembled products. They can be used to inspect welding, casting, EDM and
metal machining processes.
The report also discusses specific applications of borescopic inspection of manufactured parts, components and assembled products in the aerospace, automotive, chemical, medical and power generation industries.
Moritex is a borescope manufacturer and distributor. Their units are said to be waterproof, and constructed with
stainless steel and insert industrial grade polymers, as well as advanced optics.
